"Joshu! Joshu "

It took a while before Joshua was aware of his surroundings. Then he took the two little hands, shaking him roughly by the shoulder. He grumbled, rubbing his short over his eyes. "What?"

"Joshu, you gotta help me! I do not get the pan from the cupboard. "Miki had stopped to shake it back and forth, but her voice sounded urgent.

Joshua groped blindly for his clock on the bedside table, opened his eyes and glanced at the display.

"Miki, it is only half past seven. "he muttered, still half asleep. "And what do you want with the pan?"

you rocked slightly up and down and said mattress in order to induce oscillation. "I want to bake the cake pan."

Joshua muttered again. "And why is that?"

"I want to surprise Toosan. But I do not get the pan from the cupboard. "She said and wiggled a little bit more.

Secretly Joshua was relieved that the pan was out of reach, because he did not know what would happen if a four-year-old ordained to the stove and tried to cook. The thought brought him to the fact that Miki probably had already tried to make the dough and it schwahnte evil. Better, he would get up and see the kitchen before Mika saw the chaos and had a heart attack. It would also Miki, Joshua, can not sleep again anyway. With a resigned sigh

he sat up in bed and ran through the short tousled hair. "All right, I'll help."

Miki sat beside him on the edge of the bed and beamed in his words, with their pajamas quietschgrün a race. "Thank you, Joshu,"

"Well, ever go into the kitchen and wait for me. I will briefly nodded to the bathroom. "

Miki and slipped quickly, but surprisingly quiet in the kitchen. Joshua sighed again briefly in regret for the lost sleep, but then pulled himself together and went to the bathroom. Actually Mikis idea was to surprise her father with a breakfast, not too bad. It was Sunday and Mika had all day yesterday and corrected until late in the night tests, which now, at the end of the semester, all of which occurred at a time.

came just a few minutes later, Joshua in the kitchen and had to pull themselves together so as not to groan aloud in despair. The room resembled the chaos that he had suspected. Miki had spread all sorts of paraphernalia on the shelves and flour, sugar, butter and a few other Ingredients were scattered in between. She had pulled a chair before the canvas on which they stand now, a bowl in front of him and a whisk of the hand.

"I tried to make everything as we always do together." She said proudly, beaming at him. Joshua could not even be mad at her because she was convinced her father to do something good and apply what she had learned. Joshua regularly made her pancakes, which helped Miki always eager to prepare the dough. And now they had tried it alone. "I really wanted to surprise you, too, but I come not to the pan."

It showed on the handle, which was clearly visible, but much too high to be seen on the shelf. Even when she stood on the desktop, they would not reach him. And the tracks in the flour, which was distributed on the shelf, told him that she had tried.

"Let me try the first time the dough." Joshua said, went to her and ignored the Teigspritzer, who had managed to even up the tiles on the wall.

Miki pushed him down the bowl and looked unhappy. "It does not taste as usual"

That turned Joshua laid, as soon as he had tried. He grimaced and looked at Miki. "What were you doing in?"

"All I could remember. And then I've got. "She pointed to a number of ingredients that were around them. Among other things, also baking soda, sugar, butter and pepper. Since it was no wonder that the whole thing was inedible.

"I have an idea how we can surprise your father." Joshua gave his voice an encouraging tone.

"How?" Miki looked hesitant.

"We have to buy bread, lubricate it and bring him breakfast in bed. And I was helping to cook eggs. "

Miki thought for a moment, then nodded in agreement. "I find good. I would like the food here either. "

" But before we clean up the kitchen, otherwise your father can no longer look right. "

Miki nodded and looked around briefly. "What can I do?"

"We will once again put everything where it belongs, then we wash and be clean." Joshua took the bowl with the dough unappetizing. "You start ever to clear away the things I and the blank here. And if we do that next time pancakes, I'll show you exactly how to do that, right? "

Then she beamed at him. "Then I can bake pancakes!"

"Exactly. So, go. "Joshua went into the bathroom, empty out the bowl and set it to work, the kitchen with Mikis help refurbish presentable. It did not take as long as he had expected. Then he sent them to her room so she dressed and he could make himself ready. Not ten minutes later they pulled the door quietly behind her and made her way.

"Let's go to the bakery to the Toosan always goes with me?" Miki asked, turned and bounced along the road.

"If you let me show the way, please." Voted to Joshua, and saw her smile as she tried on the curb to balance. "Do not go on the road."

"Toosan says whatever, but I take care of so that I stay just on the edge." Miki looked focused to where she sat her feet. "That's all. I walk on the street, I would have lost. "

Joshua had to smile. He had really been so used to the little one, not even their argument that it was strange. He was followed by Miki slowly, while continuing to send his balance on the curb. After a few minutes they reached a small bakery, which itself was visited by this time well. Normally, Mika took his daughter rolls, because Joshua was at such a time on the weekend can not get awake.

Miki knew the bakery good, they leaned on the door and Joshua followed her inside. Some young girls and an older woman behind the counter busy scurrying back and forth and served the customers. Miki stood on tiptoe and put on the glass as high as she could. The older woman noticed her and smiled at her broadly.

"Miki, nice to see you." Greeted the little girl she beamed. "Are you going to catch my bread?"

"Yes," she nodded eagerly.

The woman looked around briefly. "Where have you left your father? "

Miki was back to Joshua, who nodded to the woman-friendly. "There. I'm here Joshu "

" Good morning. "The woman greeted him with a small smile before she again approached the girl. "What do you want, Miki?"

"We want to surprise Toosan with a breakfast in bed!" Miki beamed at her.

The woman threw a quick look at Joshua, and he could not help but recognize how ambiguous sound Mikis innocent answer. Most of all he had said anything to clarify what it was really meant, but he could think of nothing. After a moment, the woman smiled at him. "And what do you want to surprise him, then? Maybe with croissants and rolls? "

Miki Joshua threw a questioning look and he nodded with a smile. "You search out what we take."

"Oh yeah! Then we take bread and chocolate croissants! They are great! "Joyful Miki showed through the glass window on really good looking chocolate croissants.

"How," asked the woman turned to Joshua.

"Three croissants and four grain bread." He said after a moment and watched as the women packed up their order. He paid and took just the two bags from the counter when the woman turned to Miki.

"Would you like to have a homemade biscuit, Miki," she said with a motherly smile.

"Oh yes! You're welcome! "Miki looked at Joshua almost begging. "May I?"

"Sure."

The woman came out from behind the counter and gave Miki a bowl with cookies. "You can choose you one."

Miki thought for a moment, then chose a chocolate chip cookie. "Thank you." She said with a big smile before she began to chew their prey.

"You're welcome." said the woman-friendly, and rose again. "Greet your father from me."

"I'm determined." Answered the children with an affirmative nod.

"Bye and have a nice day." Joshua said goodbye with a friendly smile. The woman replied, almost warmly and waved to Miki.

"Until next time"

"Bye!" Miki waved to her as well and was followed by Joshua from the bakery.

"Your father and you, you're often here, right?" Joshua asked neurierig. Mikis not at all shy behavior told him that with the Situation and be familiar, especially the older woman had.

"Oh yes." She said as she nibbled on her weitehin biscuit. "Toosan often goes to kindergarten with me out there."

"The lady likes you but very happy, even if you've got a biscuit."

"Yes, she is very nice. Sometimes she gives me a biscuit, and once I got a donut. With a lot of chocolate on it! "Miki licked the chocolate from his fingers after they had finished eating. "Will you carry a bag?"

asked Joshua and gave her a questioning look.

"Yes! I will take the chocolate croissants! "Almost like a treasure they held the paper bag, took off to Joshua and they were back in the home and in the kitchen for their purchases.

"Come, let us cook the eggs and then we make a tray ready, we bring it to Mika." Joshua said, calling upon and Miki nodded, went to the fridge took mouth with the aid of a chair three eggs from the top shelf. Joshua watched her, smiling. She was very resourceful when it came to something that they wanted. Then he took a large, printed tray from oven and set it on the shelf. It was not long until he cooked the eggs and put on the tea, while Miki concentrated plates, a bowl with the chocolate croissants, egg cups and tea cups distributed on the tablet. After a good quarter of an hour the eggs were still steaming in their holders, smeared the bread and the tea in the cups and Joshua Miki followed to Mika's room.

Miki opened the door and ran to her father's bed, only to jump out and shake her father's shoulder, as she had previously made Joshua. "Toosan! We have breakfast for you! "

Joshua stood beside the bed, the full tray in her hands, and watched the scene. Mika stirred for a moment with a slow rumble, and tried to turn away from the source of the noise. But Miki was not so easy, Joshua had the impression that it was not the first time. She passed Mika black hair from the cheek and gave him a literal Schmatzer.

"Good morning, Toosan! We have bread, tea, eggs and even chocolate croissants! "

That seemed to get through to Mika. "Tea?"

Joshua could not help but laugh softly. "Yes, a nice hot tea with only milk as you drink it the most."

The Asian spun them again and slowly opened his eyes. He saw Miki, exactly knelt before him on the bed, knew behind Joshua and the large platter. A smile crept on his face. "What you two have been doing there?"

"We made breakfast! With eggs and chocolate croissants, "Miki said proudly, looking at him expectantly.

"But you are kind to me. What have I done to deserve that? "He sat up in bed and caressed his daughter's hair.

"Oh, you have to ask Miki. It was their idea. "Joshua said with a smile and approached the bed.

"Because I love you so much have," said Miki immediately and without hesitation.

"Thank you, sweetie. That's very sweet of you. I love you too very nice. "She then beamed over Mika happy hug and let settle.

"Let's make Josh also be room." Mika Miki took on the arm and slid to the back edge of the bed so that Joshua leave the tray on the mattress and yet could also be set. He had hardly settled down gently, he gave Mika a cup from which it was steaming full of promise.

"Here. That should raise your spirits. "With a grateful smile Mika took him from the cup, held his nose over it and breathed deeply.

"Mmmm. There is nothing like the scent of fresh tea. "he said contentedly, before he took a long sip. "Very well."

Joshua smiled. "I hope so. After all, I do not know the first time our tea. "

" May I a chocolate croissant? "Miki said with shining eyes as she stared at the dish with the pastry.

"But certainly. We have brought them so. "

Wordless, but apparently happily took Miki to one of the chocolate croissants, while Mika and Joshua would rather relish the sandwiches were doing.

"We will greet you from the bakery lady." Miki suddenly said between bites. "She has even given me a cookies with chocolate!"

"Oh, thanks, sparrow." Mika smiled at his daughter on the rim of his cup. "Has not tasted the biscuit?"

Miki nodded his head eagerly, as they continue to nibble at her croissant. Joshua laughed. "So how has it licked then the finger, the cookie was actually very good."

"It was a cookies with chocolate." Mika said, and also had to laugh. "You're such a sweet tooth."

"So what?" Miki pulled a pout, slipped from Mika's legs and sat between him and Joshua on the mattress. Defiant bite them into the croissant.

Joshua suppressed his laughter, and turned the little girl. "Do not you think that you rather bisst a Naschfrosch? The course is much more clever than a sweet tooth. "

Miki gave him a hesitant glance. "If Naschfrösche green?"

Very seriously he nodded. "And unlike a sweet tooth Naschfrösche prefer chocolate. Gummy bears with a Naschfrosch can not catch, with a cookies with chocolate does. "

" I think I'm a Naschfrosch. "She seemed to think a moment, then she smiled at him. "I like Naschfrösche."

"I find the much nicer than a sweet tooth." Mika agreed to her and stroked her back. She grinned at him a moment, then she bit into the savory chocolate croissant. The world was right again. Over her head, threw Joshua Mika a look. Joshua nodded, smiled slightly and turned to his tea.

*** "Thank you, Joshua." Mika said softly, but a slight smile was on his lips. With slow movements, he wiped a plate.

"What?" Joshua turned to face him and listened to rinse.

"For the whole morning. That you're so good to Miki. I was long gone so well and felt happy as this morning. "Mika gave him a grateful look.

Joshua answered him. "Neither do I." A small smile crept

on Mika's features. "Both of us have probably searched for and found."

Against his will, Joshua felt as he climbed the redness in the cheeks. He was so sure that Mika only joking, but he could not prevent that he thought even the words to more than he should. Once again he cursed Marianne and her conjecture.

"UUI, you are so red." Mika laughed. "It suits you! You see right from innocent. "

"Hmm." Joshua did not at first know what to say on it. Hastily weiterzuspülen he began. Beside him he heard

Mika laughed softly. "Have I made you speechless about?"

For the first time Joshua had a feeling, an almost inaudible, rough sound of Mika's voice and his laughter exercise. Driven by curiosity, he threw him a look. He calmly wiped the great Asian from one of their breakfast plates, a small smile on his lips.

"Quite speechless, eh?" Mika he turned his head, caught his gaze and the smile broadened into a grin.

snorted and Joshua started again. "Do not imagine such a mere nothing on it."

Mika laughed out loud. "Oh yes, of course I do this I'll let you rub under your nose every time when I do have the opportunity. I am able to get you to your speech. "

" What have I done to deserve this? "Joshua said with einerm exaggerated resigned sigh. A slight smile played on his lips. It was the truth. This morning, Mika and Miki Joshua had felt a deep satisfaction, as he had not experienced since childhood. He enjoyed being with his two roommates, who had become almost like family to him. This little banter with Mika gave him a sense of familiarity that he has long had not. He had certainly not expected, as he had accepted the Asians and his daughter as a roommate.

"A penny for your thoughts." Mika was standing next to him, the dish towel thrown over his shoulder, and addressed a curious look at his roommate.

"Only a penny?" Said Joshua and snorted indignantly. "But that's not very much."

"I try again. A fruit salad for your thoughts" before Mika suggested with a grin.

Joshua had to laugh. "Okay, it can talk. "

" I knew that. I just know your weaknesses. "The grin still on his lips, Mika hung on the towel and began to clear plates and cups in the cupboards.

Joshua wondered how much he interpreted into all this banter that Mika had not meant that way. He just could not get over Marianne's stupid assumption again the remark came in the most inopportune moments to the surface. For a moment, lost in thought Joshua watched his roommate, then shook his head to get rid of the thoughts.

"Come, let's go shopping. We still need some today evening for our visit. "Mika gave him an encouraging smile. "And Miki would welcome determined when we go afterwards with her on the playground."

"Yes, we still lack most of East for the salad." Joshua turned very eager to another, more harmless topic. "I write us a shopping list, you made complete Miki. We can go in five minutes. "

***

Raphael, Lina nice that you are there. Does it clean. "

From the kitchen was Joshua hear Mika greeted their guests. He quickly put the knife aside and washed the sticky juice from his hands before he went into the living room. Lina had already come in, Raphael and Mika were still standing in the hallway.

"Hello Lina!" Joshua welcomed the tall young woman with a friendly hug. He had known her longer and she could suffer well, they had a sharp mind and a pleasantly ironic sense of humor. "We are unfortunately not yet completely finished, it still missing a few pieces of fruit in the fruit salad."

"Is it not a problem. After all, you are so kind to host us as we are unlikely to complain. "They returned the hug and smiled at him. "Can We help you something? "

" Oh, so much it is no more. We'll be done. "

Mika came into the living room with Raphael and Joshua greeted his former roommate with a grin. "Hi Raphael. Fancy Fruit Salad? "

Raphael had to laugh. "So I would have never expected!"

"Yes, is very surprising, is it?" Mika smiled too. Then he turned to Joshua. "Let us finish by cutting the rest."

"What, you are not ready yet? So really, what's that for service! "Raphael threw them an exaggeratedly indignant glance and to suppress the grin that played around his mouth. Lina gave him the elbow in the ribs.

"Where are your manners, Rapha," she smiled, too. "Have you been to bed brought Miki?"

Joshua nodded as he went to the fruits that had to be cut. "Eight Clock is really too late for them. The next time we can just make something again one afternoon, then treat her until she thinks he's a princess. "

" As bad as we were not the point. "Protested behave Raphael. "We were only nice to her."

"Nice?" Mika shook her head with a slight grin. "This is probably not the right expression. Miki adores you. You have it spoiled rotten. She was allowed to anything they should not with us. And of course she remembers. "

" That's the advantage of it when you're not a parent. "Lina said mischievously. "Then can you be so kind as you want because you have to follow so inconsistent education. But you are there. We spoil it. "

" The role you like, what? "Joshua muttered as he cut a small bulb.

"Sure." Threw Raphael him his widest grin. "That's why we so love to meet with you."

"Charming as ever." Joshua said, unmoved.

"Sit still have." Mika made an inviting gesture towards the large kitchen table, which was already well laid and burned on the two large candles. Lina and Raphael followed the invitation and sat down to their proper positions.

"Shall I not help you?" Mika came up behind Joshua, and put his hand in the back while he looked over his shoulder. Raphael Lina threw across the table a quick look.

Joshua Mika turned to the head. "You could ever pour the drinks, I'm almost done. "

" If done immediately. "Mika let go of Joshua, went to the fridge and then looked to Lina and Raphael. "What you want to drink for you. We have a lot to offer. "

" Like what? "Lina gave him a friendly smile.

"From fruit juices to beer to Champagne we have it all."

"Then I would like a Kiba." Lina said after a moment of reflection.

"You are just such a Zuckerschnute as Miki." Commented Joshua from his work area from.

"So we understand each other so well so well."

"Naschfrösche among themselves." Mika Joshua threw to a wide grin. The

had to laugh. "Exactly!"

Mika exception cherry and banana juice from the refrigerator and mixed the fresh Kiba together. "And what I can offer you, Rapha?

" I'll have a Beck's, please. "

" With pleasure. "While Mika put beer and juice before the guests threw Joshua fruit bowls and route of radicals and wiped quickly the work surface clean. When he sat down with the bowl of fruit salad to the others at the table, was already a glass of apple juice in place.

"Thanks." He said with a nod in the direction of Mika.

"According to you." Mika toasted in the round. "On a beautiful evening at Joshua's healthy food."

"Cheers." Raphael and Lina also raised their glasses and together they toasted to the evening.

"So, you want to start? There are fruit salad, mini-pancakes, waffles, and sweet bread. Combined, what you want. "Joshua made an inviting gesture, bordering the beautiful handle down food on many plates and bowls.

"Oh man, now I know again why I have to be there from time to repent, here moved out. "murmured Raphael and a gentle push began in the ribs one by his girlfriend.

"What does that mean then?" She said and threw him an indignant look played.

"Joshua's penchant for fruit you have not, unfortunately, and he can also cook so well that it alone is worth it to live with him." Raphael said with a grin.

"Unfortunately, you can come back no more, Rapha, the place is definitely me." Mika grinned broadly and placed briefly in a demonstrative gesture possessive arm around Joshua. Then he let him go again and turned to his food.

"Too bad also." Rapha exaggerated sigh loudly.

"You always know just what you had to something when you no longer have it." Quipped on Mika and then had to laugh. "But after all, Miki and I benefit now from Joshua fruit soft spot."

"How nice that you know I appreciate that." Joshua looked at his roommate an appraising glance at a skeptical eyebrow raised.

"But of course I know you appreciate it." Mika ruffled him by the short hairs. "I've rarely seen people with whom Miki as quickly and confidence has taken deep as to you. And I think she has a very good instincts. "

Joshua felt a happy smile on his lips. "You know you suck up that have to hand it to you."

"You're such a charming man but, Mika doing, you me one of your good, freshly mixed Kiba?" Lina held out in a most innocent smile, her glass .

"If you ask me so dear, how could I say no." Mika got up and went to the fridge to make a further Fruchtsaftmix. When he returned to the table and Lina served the juice, he found the three friends in a Discussion on education policy. This topic did not come for the first time at this table, and within moments Mika entry found in the lively conversation. Only after about an hour he and Lina Raphael and Joshua banished to the living room while she volunteered to do the dishes at his disposal. After some back and forth, the two friends were quickly thrown out of the kitchen, and Lina and Mika started with uninterrupted entertainment with rinsing and tidying.

"Let us sit on the couch." Suggested Raphael and sank to the place where he always sat, as he had lived in the apartment.

"Good idea. The two do now we do not see anyway around the kitchen. "Joshua smiled. "Sometimes Mika is really charming. Voluntary Cleanup ... "

" both of you, there are only a twin pack. Have you ever noticed this before? "Raphael gave him a questioning look.

"nonsense." Joshua made a dismissive gesture, as if to sweep the remark from the table. "We definitely still have our own lives that are not linked."

"Examples, please."

"We both have our separate schools." Joshua said with an almost triummphierend-looking expression and settled in the couch to sink back on.

"But that's all, right?" Raphael asked him out.

"no. We both have our own circles of friends. "Now he looked triumphant.

"So how did you ever go out tonight? If I'm not mistaken, you guys have invited us, only you were not "

" We share the same apartment, since it is difficult to invite friends and roommates outside vorzulassen. "Joshua was trying to justify himself.

"nonsense. I have lived in shared flats enough to know that it will work very well. "Raphael had run up it, and Joshua knew. He was aware that his former roommate was not entirely wrong. Since Mika was confiscated, his life had changed considerably, even if this process went slowly and softly to himself.

"What do you tell me about?" He asked a question straight out. As for Raphael, it was always the best tactic, to be direct. So you learned the most from.

"is how close the two of you, anyway?" Raphael replied with another question.

Joshua dropped her head with a resigned sigh. "Do you not yet caught."

That was not the expected reaction. Surprised raised Raphael eyebrows. "Even now?"

"You think, however, that he and I ... well, more than just live together. "

" In the Direction was my guess. Also, if you so clearly show new trends. "Raphael shrugged casually with his shoulder as he threw his former roommate an inquiring look. "That does not explain your 'still'."

"You're not the first with such a suspicion." Joshua sighed, almost annoyed. "Mikis kindergarten teacher Mika and me for a couple, because we both have taken care of Miki. You know, we bring them back together in the morning and a of us will pick up again. "

" Ah. And you know where? "

" She always called my partner Mika. When I corrected her, but I have brought quite embarrassed, I think. "Joshua smiled slightly. The red tone of Marianne's face had been quite remarkable.

"Well, it is not difficult to guess in you more than friends. Your use one because it was pretty easy. "

" How we treat? What is it if you please so different? "Unconsciously Joshua crossed his arms over his chest.

"You are ... How can one describe it? " Raphael seemed for a moment to think about the next words. "You have a physical proximity and impartiality, do not share the most friends. And in connection with her Miki looks more like a family than as a purely residential use-based community. "

Joshua did not know what to answer. Of course he was aware that the whole thing was not totally out of the air. Mika and he shared a different kind of physicality, as he did with other friends. Mika and Miki on the couch snuggled up together to watch TV does not bother him, but he could think of no other of his male friends, with whom he felt in such a situation probably would have.

Twice Joshua continued to talk to, but closed his mouth again without a word. The third time he managed to say something. "We are more than one use-based residential community. This can probably be little dispute. But I never had anything to Mika. The thought never occurred to me. It was the comment by Mikis kindergarten teacher has brought me to how others might see us. "

" And it is not surprised that different people do completely independent of one another the same assumptions about you? "

" What surprised them? I mean, just because others think it's far from true. "Joshua tried to lend his voice more confidence than he felt at that moment.

"Are you as this"

"Ah, you two, interesting topic of conversation?" Lina came from the kitchen and smiled. Raphael suspending his sentence and had him stand in the unfinished space. He knew that Joshua had understood what he had to say.

Mika followed Lina and dried it off his hands with the dish towel. "You seem really to have been engrossed. That must be really very interesting. "

Joshua forced a noncommittal smile on his lips and took a quick glance in the direction of Raphael. "Actually It was not that interesting. "

After a moment, Raphael agreed to it. "It was about a movie, to be exact. Terminator 3 We both wanted to watch that is yet. "

" Oh. Very important film. "Sneered Lina as she plopped down next to her boyfriend on the couch.

"Certainly." Raphael replied with utter conviction. One, on that he had never Lina can agree that the definition of a good film. In just a few moments he was busy with her in a policy discussion. Joshua Mika and watched the two with a slight smile on his lips.

"As the old Couple, do not you think? "Mika stood next to Joshua and gave him an amused look that said this.

"So what we do not make for happiness." Joshua said, giving his voice an easier sound.

"That will come." Mika said briefly with a small smile and winked at Joshua, before he intervened in the discussion. Joshua asked again how much he interpreted when there was nothing to interpret. Mika was sometimes very difficult to see through.
